We Carry Some of the Highest Voltage Stun Guns on the Market!

Stun guns are one of the best forms of non-lethal protection. Raven Personal Defense Systems has a large selection of handheld stun guns, pistol style Tasers, and other self-defense weapons. Stun guns are legal in most states and highly effective – so much so, in fact, they’re carried by law enforcement departments nationwide. Their compact size allows you to keep them in your purse, on your nightstand, on your hip with one of our nylon or leather holsters, or even in your car so you’re always prepared in case you inadvertently find yourself in a dangerous situation.

A stun gun works by attacking the nervous system, delivering high-voltage electricity to an attacker’s body. Unlike tasers, stun guns must make direct contact with the assailant to work but they’re less regulated and typically smaller and easier to conceal. We sell a wide array of stun gun accessories like holsters and extra charge packs, too, available in several different colors. There’s something for everyone!

When seconds count, a stun gun can save your life. They have a higher incapacitation rate than a 9mm handgun and they’re non-lethal. The perfect choice for a college student or a mom on the go! Protect yourself and your family with the convenience and affordability of a stun gun from a few of the industry’s most trusted brands.

We are here to ensure you'll be able to protect yourself. With some of our Stun Guns reaching 20 MILLION VOLTS!! You'll have no problem warding off even the toughest of assailants! Wait until you hear that SNAP, CRACKLE, and POP!!

Stun Gun FAQ:

How do stun guns work?
Stun guns use electrical current at a high voltage to target the nervous system of an attacker to effectively stop their assault and many times prevent the assault from happening, to begin with. That loud crackling sound lets them know you're not messing around and Department of Justice Statistics show that if you even show intent to fight back your odds immediately increase be 50%.

Criminals want easy targets. They want to get in and get out. They don't want a fight and they don't want to draw attention to themselves.

Can the high voltage cause serious injury or death?
No. When it comes to electric shock, the high voltage can cause a tremendous amount of pain and immobility as it targets the central nervous system but the thing that causes serious injury or death is the amperage of a shock. Stun guns have been specifically designed not to be lethal and only emit a very small 4.5 milliamps of power. The only place you could potentially cause permanent damage would be the eyes and even then it would most likely be from burns and not as the result of shock.

Are a stun gun and a Taser the same thing?
Yes and No. Taser is actually a brand of electronic shock defense devices. While they work using the same principles, Tasers typically shoot metal prongs from the device that stick into an attacker's body from a distance as opposed to being a handheld device. There are pros and cons to both and we do provide you with both options. You can check out this Pros and Cons article to determine which one is best for you.

Can the shock transfer to me during a struggle?

No.

How do I effectively use a stun gun?
A stun gun is meant to be used as an avenue of escape. It isn't designed to incapacitate someone for more than a minute or so depending on where and how long they've been shocked. The proper use is to give you an opportunity to break the attack and get away. Once you've shocked someone enough to get them to back up, get off of you, or think twice. Now is the time to run, scream for help, or pull the fire alarm Yes, pull the fire alarm. Fire alarms = crowds of people, police, EMS, and, of course, firefighters. Attackers don't want that. When your life is on the line..you do everything you can to save it. Even if you incur a fine or ticket. it's better than incurring a gathering of mourning friends and relatives and a coffin.

Where is the best place to target the stun gun?

People watch youtube videos and read articles about how "ineffective" stun guns are. They see guys shocking their friends and laughing about it and it doesn't seem like they could really be used to defend you....the problem with this is context. They are usually given a 1-second burst to someplace like their arm or their leg etc...

When you are fighting for your life DO NOT aim for places like the arm or the leg. Aim for the most sensitive area you can. the neck, the ribs, the armpit, the solar-plexus (that spot just under where the rib cage comes together in the center of your chest) the groin and yes...even the face. I don't care how much of a badass a person is 20 million volts to the face will drop anyone. Self-defense is not a game. It's a fight. For most inexperienced, and sometimes even very experienced fighters, a fight is won or lost within the first 20-30 seconds. Give yourself that edge and give no mercy. Your attacker certainly won't.

So yes. There are skeptics but the skeptics are under-educated or misinformed or using things out of context. Stun Guns definitely work. We get emails about how they've effectively saved our clients all the time. Don't wait until it's too late.
